The Hay Store

It makes sense that our Circle of farmers need great hay for animals in our harsh winters!  Nobody makes it better than Gene!  Shown here is his hay wagon which dumps the hay by the elevator.  We stack the hay in the barn.  These are small square bales best for horses, goats, or picky cows!

Farmers Frozen Foods: Prepared Meals

You get home from work and your tired but need something healthy
otherwise you are going to use some quick and easy - not up to par - meal!

we bring you many meal combinations including those you add together - see our 3 pak frozen veggies!

Pictured here is a variety of fresh picked organic corn, yellow squash, and lite juice or tomato broth
a great stand alone soup or stew base - how is that for progress!

Artisan Products: Maple Syrup

Some say that maple syrup is "Aunt Jemima" - that's corn syrup -  is it mis-labeled?

I visit maple syrup producers to find out what their syrup tastes like- is it authentic?

Are you surprised to learn differences - even in artisan products?
There are differences in what they use to cook it down - oil vs wood - for example.
stay tuned for our series on how something is made/ average earnings from farming maple syrup, for example / and words of wisdom from farmers themselves!

I am interested in helping our agricultural community NOW and FUTURE - lets attract young farmers - let them know what they are in store for, how much they can earn, the lifestyle choices, and how to do things better without compromising quality or the environment

Our C i r c l e CSA has many benefits - including an introduction to local products.
